Mel Hart Scholarship Fundraiser

Pancake Breakfast

Melvin Hart was a graduate of St. Anthony High School class of 1963. After graduation, Mel joined the Marines. He served his country bravely in Vietnam. On May 4th, 1966, near the town of Da Nang, Mel was killed in action.

In honor of Mels memory, the scholarship fund was started in 2006. The intent was to give financial aid to graduates of St Anthony High School for the purpose of furthering their education

The scholarship would be awarded to individuals who display good citizenship. In 2006, $500 was awarded to one young man.

Last years scholarship awarded $2000 each to a young man and a young woman. This years pancake breakfast alone raised over $3000

All of us over at Dive Bar Catering, and The Unofficial, feel honored to be a part of such a noble effort. And we look forward to next years Pancake Breakfast!
